|
|
Maris Farms will receive fabulous support for yet another season from its two radio partners, KMPS 94.1 FM and STAR 101.5 FM.
Both stations have been an intregal part of the success of events at Maris Farms the past few seasons.
"There's no doubt that the amount of time and effort as well as the quality of promotions those two stations put into our festivities is above and beyond what we could imagine," Maris Farms owner Dale Maris said.
"You cannot put a value on it."
Both stations will again be at the farm during the season for live remotes.
STAR 101.5 has slated Oct. 13th and 21st, from 3-5 pm, and Oct. 26th from 4-6 pm.
They will also be providing the STAR 101.5 My ID Club service on dates and times to be determined at the farm.
The service, which is in cooperation with King County Police Unions and Swedish Hospital, will allow parents to get laminated photo ID cards with their child's height, weight and fingerprints while they're at the farm enjoying the many family activities.
KMPS 94.1 FM will kick the season off with a discount day on Friday October 12th.
All who attend that day will be able to buy tickets to the 8-acre daytime corn maze for only 94 cents.
KMPS personality Stubbs will be the on-air host for the festivities, which begin at 10 am and last until 3 pm.
KMPS will again be in attendance on Oct. 27th, from 10 am to 2 pm.
The on-air host will be Flo, the afternoon traffic diva.
STAR 101.5 has promoted one of Western Washington's most popular haunted attractions for the past three seasons, the Maris Farms Haunted Woods.
STAR has also been one of the co-sponsors, along with Emerald Queen Casino and Spirit Halloween Store, of the Tour of Terror contest, which rewards 10 listeners with a special dinner at EQC, costumes from Spirit, and transportation to the woods and back to the EQC costume party.
This year's contest winner will be announced on Friday Oct. 26th, with the actual Tour of Terror event occurring on Oct. 31st.
KMPS 94.1, western Washington's largest country music station, has been with Maris Farms now for seven seasons, helping promote the maze, pumpkin patch and kids' courtyard activities.
The farm is located between Buckley and Bonney Lake at 24713 Sumner Buckley Highway.

Jonathan Harris
|
Singer/songwriter Jonathan Harris will be at the farm on Oct. 13 from 6-8 pm on the Car Toys Aftershock Stage. Harris has been performing all around the Pacific Northwest since 1997. He has had the honor of warming the stage for a list of Country Music Artists that reads like a who’s who list: Merle Haggard, Charlie Daniel’s Band, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Black Hawk, Jo Dee Messina, Gary Allen, Asleep At The Wheel, Hal Ketchum, Sammy Kershaw, Trick Pony, Rhett Akins, Chad Brock, Daryle Singletary, Jeff Carson, She Daisy, and Mark Chestnutt, just to name a few. In 2004 he was honored to perform for President Bush and thousands of military personnel at Fort Lewis. "What an honor to play for our country’s heroes. I take every opportunity I get to thank our military for their service". He was named as one of Jim Beam’s top five artists in the nation and is proud to own the custom Les Paul guitar Jim Beam presented to him as a birthday gift. His boyish charm on stage and polished voice has earned him a loyal and dedicated following.
Jonathan was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. Music has always been his passion. His love of country music and the outdoors come straight from his northwest upbringing. He loves to fish, hunt, golf and snowboard. He is a heavy equipment operator and is as good with a hammer and saw as he is with a lyric and melody. Jonathan met his wife, Jessica, at the Western Washington Fair in 1992. Together they have two sons, Tucker and Tanner. Jonathan grew up with deep seeded family values. His world revolves around his family and it shows in the smile on his face when he looks down from the stage and sees them beaming back at him. "I thank God everyday for the family I’ve been given. They give me the inspiration to keep pushing forward and tackling head-on whatever comes our way". Jonathan’s religious up-bringing is apparent in his kind, open hearted attitude toward others and life. His love of nature and his wife’s love of animals come together on their five acre ranch in Graham, Washington.
In late 2006 Jonathan was signed by Region1Records in Nashville, TN. His new album, "Where Concrete Don’t Grow", was released in April of 2007. The title cut was written by Jonathan and he has two other co-writes on the album as well. Those close to him will agree that the new album is "pure Jonathan". "I love the songs on our latest release. From the songs we wrote, to the songs we were pitched, I feel we have the best of the best to fit our style". It captures his love of the outdoors, God, and his family, and showcases his powerful emotion filled vocals. With a new record label behind him, his northwest tour is soon to be expanding nationwide.

Nathan Chance
|
What started out as just a couple guys from Montana and Canada gettin' together to combine followings soon took off into a regional phenomenon. Since the inception of "Nathan Chance" in May of 2006, the boys have opened for national-caliber acts such as Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, SheDaisy, Brooks n' Dunn, George Strait and most recently… Rascal Flatts! Their style of music has been tabbed by Nashville as "Industrialized Country" which basically means they're blue collar, hard rockin', good timin' boys with an edge no one else to date has been able to maintain. People in the northwest continue to flock to shows as they've come to expect the best "regional" entertainment around. Come see for yourself how two small town boys have managed to capture the attention of big crowds, radio stations and national labels… Welcome to Nathan Chance country!
