Facilities

Buildings:

Dairy barns, stall barns, cattle holding pens, barnyards and pastures provide the rustic infrastructure for Maris Farms.

Access:

The access to our farm is was changed in 2009, as visitors now enter and exit in the southeast corner of the farm (where patrons have alwaysjust exited in the past).  Our gravel driveway – initially designed for milk truck and grain truck access – will take you to one of two parking locations totaling 10 acres (Free Parking!). We also have a secondary location just south and west of the farm with an additional 10 acres of parking available if needed for any overflow that may occur during the last two weekends of the season.

Hygiene & Sanitation:

Several cold water hand wash stations are available as well as waterless hand sanitizer stations.  Well maintained and plentiful port-o-potties abound (provided by Andy’s Portables).

Pumpkin Field:

The 10-acre U-Pick field is the actual pumpkin growing field and you will encounter remnants of the natural vines amongst the dirt. We also grow an additional 20 acres of pumpkins at a nearby field to help replenish the farm field as it becomes depleted.

Corn Maze:

Approximately two miles of dirt trails through an 8-acre (sometimes 10) cornfield.  Sections of trails are covered with bark, sawdust or straw to improve traction.  Two large bridges are placed along the journey to cross over intersecting trails and provide a panoramic view of the area. Important rules are provided before entering the maze and compliance is required to ensure your safety and the safety of others.

Haunted Woods:

An adventure that begins when you arrive, with haunts while you wait in the barn and throughout the 35 minute walk through a corn field and woods.  Trails meander through the corn field and woods and are covered in sawdust to improve traction and visibility of the path that lies ahead.  Ambient lighting is provided to guide your way.  Important rules are communicated several times before entering the venue and compliance is required to ensure your safety, safety of other customers and our actors.

Shelters:

Informal shelter in the barns are available to wait out a rain squall. Picnic tables and benches are available for your informal use throughout the farm.
