Employees at Maris Farms must be team players who are always willing to be helpful in any number of tasks, not just the particular task/duty for which they are hired. Smiles and a joyful attitude are paramount as well as a willingness to engage with fellow employees and customers in order to make their visit to the farm enjoyable. Below, we’ve provided a general list of work categories available during the fall season. Specific job position will be based on employee candidate’s strengths, experience and overall skill sets identified during interviews.

- What is the schedule like? 98% of our staff must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday in October.
- What is the age requirements? Employees must be at least 14 years of age.
- Compensation? Most positions begin at $8.67/hr.
- Pay Days? Monthly
- How does the work schedule work? Hours begin light for the first week and increase the last three weekends of October.
- Cell phones – can we use them? yes, you can bring a cell phone; no, you cannot use it when you are on the clock; We recommend you turn it off and leave it in your car or work locker while you are on the clock.
- Are there any “perks”? we do provide special perks such as concession discounts (for you during work hours), and complimentary event passes.
- Socializing at work? Short exchanges are encouraged with your workmates, but anything more than about 30-60 seconds in considered “messing around.” Please respect both your employer’s time and your fellow employees…you may be putting your work mate(s) in an uncomfortable position by “over” exchanging during work shifts, so please spend more time paying attention to customers and your duties/tasks than you do having employee exchanges.
Positions available in customer service, farm cleaning & care, and general labor. In addition to the physical and social ability to perform in one of our roles, we look for applicants who can work independantly, take pride in their work, and are enjoyable to work with.
