Cornucopia of Activity

July 31, 2011

Twitterman coming at ya with an update on the cornucopia of activity that’s been happening at Maris Farms and will continue up until opening day, Oct. 1st. The maze is growing several inches a day and the trails have been carved and are starting to take shape nicely. Bridges are in. Soon, we will beginĀ installing theĀ ”props” and “activity stuff” inside the 8-acre maze. A new entry system is in place for the upcoming season to separate people standing in line from the pathway of our tractor ride.

Pumpkins are coming in a lot nicer this year than last. We’ve got flowers and should begin seeing the little buggers start popping here by mid to late August.

We’re getting ready to paint all the buildings as well. That’ll be a big project, but well needed. I hear brother Jerry Maris is in charge of pressure washing duties – very skilled marksman!

A new sign at the entr/exit is being built and should provide passers-by with a better idea of what the weekly schedule is. It’ll be informational and look good too.

BunnyVille will be a new “kid-magnet” this October. Construction of the new town is underway. And we will have a nice, 20-foot spider web for kids to enjoy climbing in as well.

If you’ve had trouble finding a place to sit and eat in the past, you can enjoy one of the 30 new picnic tables we have built for you.

And don’t forget to follow us (and like us) on Facebook. We will be offering plenty of fun deals via Facebook, our web site and a brand new social platform called Knotis in the next couple of months.

Talk with you soon. Twitterman out!
